Winter Clothing Drive
Warm clothes for cold months. Simple as that.
- December 7–24, 2023
- 1222 Rose Way, Milton, ON L9E 1P2
From December 7 to 24, 2023, One Community Hub ran Carol Lutaaya's Winter Clothing Drive — collecting new and gently used clothing and bedding to help newcomers to Canada through one of the hardest months of the year to get through without the right gear.
We were especially in need of jackets, sweaters, pants, hats, gloves, socks and scarves, along with blankets and duvets. The community responded generously. Donations were dropped off at 1222 Rose Way in Milton (with pickups arranged by phone), then sorted and distributed to families who needed them most.
It was a practical initiative, done without fanfare, and it reflected the kind of organization we were becoming: one that sees a need and moves to meet it. The drive also marked the beginning of our seasonal giving campaigns, which now include school supply distributions and holiday hamper initiatives throughout the year.
