Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the One Community Hub website located at www.onecommunityhub.ca (the "Site") and any related digital content, communications or services provided by One Community Hub (the "Organization"). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Site immediately.
1. About One Community Hub
One Community Hub is a Canadian non-profit organization working toward registered charitable status. We provide free programs and community-driven initiatives that support youth and families facing barriers across the Greater Toronto Area, with a special focus on minority and newcomer communities. Nothing on this Site constitutes legal, financial, immigration or professional advice.
2. Use of the Site
2.1 Permitted Use
You may use this Site for lawful, personal and non-commercial purposes consistent with its intended function: learning about our organization, registering for programs and events, making donations and accessing community resources.
2.2 Prohibited Conduct
You agree that you will not:
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable federal, provincial or municipal law
- Impersonate any individual, organization or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any party
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site or its underlying systems
- Transmit any content that is defamatory, abusive, threatening, obscene, hateful or otherwise objectionable
- Use automated tools, bots or scrapers to extract data from the Site without our written consent
- Introduce any malware, viruses or other harmful code to the Site
- Reproduce, distribute or create derivative works from Site content without our express written permission
3. Program Participation
Participation in One Community Hub programs is subject to additional terms, eligibility criteria and policies communicated at registration. By registering for a program or event, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and complete.
For participants under the age of 18, a parent or legal guardian must provide consent prior to enrollment. The Organization reserves the right to decline or remove any participant who engages in conduct that is unsafe, disruptive or inconsistent with our community values.
4. Donations
Donations made through this Site are voluntary and generally non-refundable. As One Community Hub is currently working toward registered charitable status with the Canada Revenue Agency, official tax receipts cannot be issued at this time. We will notify our donor community when charitable registration is confirmed and receipting becomes available.
All donation transactions are processed through secure third-party payment processors. We do not store your full payment card details on our servers.
5. Intellectual Property
All content on this Site, including but not limited to text, images, logos, graphics, program descriptions and design elements, is the property of One Community Hub or its licensors and is protected by Canadian copyright law. You may not reproduce, republish, distribute or exploit any Site content without prior written permission from the Organization.
The One Community Hub name, logo and branding are protected marks of the Organization. Unauthorized use is strictly prohibited.
6. User-Submitted Content
If you submit content to the Site (such as through contact forms, event registrations or social media interactions), you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display and share that content for organizational purposes, including promotional materials, grant reporting and community communications. You represent that you have the right to submit such content and that it does not violate the rights of any third party.
We reserve the right to remove any user-submitted content at our discretion without notice.
7. Social Media
Our Site links to our social media accounts on Instagram, Facebook and TikTok. Your use of those platforms is governed by their respective terms of service and privacy policies. We are not responsible for content, availability or practices on those third-party platforms.
By engaging with our social media content, you agree to those platforms' terms and acknowledge that your interactions may be visible to the public.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site and all content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without any warranties of any kind, express or implied. The Organization does not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free or free of viruses or other harmful components. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, One Community Hub and its directors, officers, employees and volunteers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Site or our programs, including loss of data, personal injury or property damage.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of the Site shall not exceed one hundred dollars (CAD $100.00).
Some jurisdictions do not permit limitation of liability for personal injury or certain damages; in such cases, the above limitations apply to the fullest extent permitted by law.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend and hold harmless One Community Hub and its directors, officers, employees, volunteers and partners from any claims, damages, losses or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
11. Links to Third-Party Websites
The Site may contain links to external websites for your convenience. These links do not constitute an endorsement of those sites or their content. We have no control over the content, privacy practices or availability of third-party sites and accept no responsibility for any loss or damage that may arise from your use of them.
12. Privacy
Your use of this Site is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand how we collect, use and protect your personal information.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of Ontario and the applicable federal laws of Canada. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.
14. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Your continued use of the Site following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.
